    正确答案:
    【参考范文】
The Best Way to Keep a Harmonious Relationship in Dormitory When we mention the phrase “dormitory life”, a vision of wild parties and loud music probably pops into our mind. It is true that the dormitory relationship can easily run into trouble, confusion and tension for all kinds of reasons. But is there anything we can do to solve this problem? For me, the best way is communication.
Communication is vital to any relationship, especially to the dormitory relationship. Students sharing the same dorm come from different family backgrounds and thus have different life styles, habits and characters. Without communication, misunderstanding will be frequent and unavoidable. In the practice of communication, roommates should, first of all, share openly their expectations on issues, such as cleanliness, visitation, music, study time and lights out, before they have problems and get out of control. Once common understanding has been reached, we get the guide for our everyday conduct. Furthermore, it may be necessary to make adjustments as new issues may constantly arise in the future life. Therefore, continuous communication is by all means necessary for us to avoid possible misunderstanding or conflicts.
In conclusion, we may be able to enjoy a harmonious dormitory relationship by means of communication, and in this case the dormitory may become our second sweet home away from home.

    B

Europe does not forecast the huge drop of American visitors.

    C

Not only Paris but the whole Europe witnesses the reduction of American tourists.

    D

The value of US dollar has become historical low.

Paris has weathered a decline in tourism before,B选项错误。文章中提到虽然美元与欧元的兑换率达到历史最低点,但是美元的价值是否是最低还要参照欧元价值是否有变化而定,所以D“美元达到历史新低”不准确。正确答案为C。

    【录音原文】
Names Humans have been using names since prehistoric times but although all cultures use names, the ways that we have of naming our children differ from place to place. (1)In some places people have just a single name while in others the naming process is far more complex. (2)Sometimes our names carry information about our family roots or even, in the case of some African cultures, (3)the order in which each sibling is born. Another interesting aspect of names is why people choose to give their child one name and not another and why certain names become popular at particular moments in time.
(4)It appears that parents are more adventurous when it comes to naming daughters. (5)Boys’ names tend to be more traditional and favorites change (6)less frequently. Jack has topped the list for the past nine years and shows no sign of moving.
A fairly recent trend in choosing a name has meant that there are now generations of young people named after musicians, (7)film stars and even designer clothes labels. Kylie is one of the most popular girls’ names at the moment and last year in the UK alone, 221 babies were named Shakira after the Columbian singer. Following the success of “The Matrix”, (8)fans started calling their children Morpheus and Trinity after the lead characters. And, if that isn’t bad enough, there are around three hundred American teenagers called Armani.
(9)Colours have also entered the naming arena with Pink, Ruby and Scarlet popular choices for girls and Blue and Grey for boys. (10)And what about the current craze for calling your child after a town or city? When David Beckham called his child Brooklyn, 105 other parents followed the craze and called their children; boys and girls alike, Brooklyn too. Other “place” names that are popular are Adelaide and Devon.
There is little to be done about the name you were given as a child but maybe we ought to think more carefully about the names we choose to give future generations. It would be sad to think that names that have been good enough for Kings, Queens, heroes and heroines throughout history will lose out to passing trends or short lived crazes. So, let’s have more Georges, Henrys, Katherines and Annes and less Hilfigers, Khakis, Chelseas and Pinks!
